About Mary J. Franklin
Mary Jean has been employed with the law firm and its predecessor firms since March 1975. She received a Legal Assistant Certificate from Southwest Virginia Community College in Richlands, Virginia in 1997. She completed legal classes at Virginia Highlands Community College in Abingdon, Virginia. Mary Jean has worked in all departments including domestic relations, administrative law, corporations, and personal injury. She worked in our real estate department for twelve years. She currently serves as the accounting manager and as staff assistant to our managing partner and administrator.
She enjoys church, walking, family and friends, and works with children aged 4–7 at the Lebanon Church of Christ. She helps clients at the firm by being understanding to the present circumstances they are in. Many clients would rather be working and not be injured, dealing with insurance companies and not being able to do things they could before their injury or sickness. Mary loves the firm because it represents the people. The firm is very giving to the community and the local schools.
